Founder and Owner Francesca DeFranchis

I was born and educated in Rome, Italy, where I earned my degree in Marketing and Fashion from the Italian Fashion and Design Institute. My career has always lived at the intersection of fashion, food, culture, and hospitality — industries where presentation, quality, and detail matter deeply.

After moving to New York in 2000, I continued building my path through hands-on experience. I worked with brands such as Cipriani, Barilla, Campari, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Grana Padano, and began my hospitality career in 2006. I advanced through every level of service — from server to bartender, captain, manager, and event planner — before founding FS Event Staffing in 2020.

As an immigrant entrepreneur in a competitive industry, I built this company with resilience, independence, and high standards. Working my way up shaped how I lead today: with preparation, accountability, and respect for every role on a team.

I am also a certified life and business coach, and I apply those principles directly to how I manage and prepare my staff. I believe that when professionals feel supported, valued, and clearly guided, they perform with excellence. That philosophy defines our culture.

FS Event Staffing reflects my dual identity: Italian standards of taste and presentation combined with structured operational discipline. Our Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification represents not only growth, but leadership earned through persistence and integrity.

For me, hospitality is not simply service — it is culture, dignity, and responsibility.
